Caledonia-Mumford "Warriors" win League Championship

    The Caledonia-Mumford "Warriors" 5th and 6th grade girls soccer team, coached by Michael and Brandi Spezzano, advanced through the playoffs of the Livonia Soccer Club's Fall division B soccer league to win the league championship by a score of 2-0 against a very tough Mt. Morris team. The Warriors are a team of 15 young women from Caledonia-Mumford that represented 4 different teams. During the regular Fall season, the team compiled an amazing record of 7 wins, 0 losses, and 1 tie. This success carried through the playoffs, contested on Saturday October 16th. The quarter final round saw the Warriors on the winning end of a 4-0 score against Wayland. The semi-final score was the same, a 4-0 win against Dansville. In the championship game the Warriors were tested by a very fast, very tough Mt. Morris team. In the end the Warriors won 2-0 to be crowned the 2010 Livingston Fall League Champions 5th and 6th grade girls B division.
